Welcome to Ashby Lake
Small-town romance. Big feelings. Stories that stay.
Iโm Tasha Zima, a Canadian contemporary romance author who writes emotionally rich love stories with cozy-but-not-boring small-town energy.
Ashby Lake started as a setting. It turned into a universe.
My characters tend to fall in love while carrying a little baggage and a lot of heart.
The stories are interconnected, the chemistry is intentional, and nothing happens by accident.
You donโt have to read everything in order.
But if you do?
Youโll start noticing familiar names, shared moments, and quiet call backs that make the world feel lived-in.
Pull up a chair. Thereโs always room at the lake.
Behind the Books
I grew up trading romance novels with my mom like sacred artifacts and rereading dog-eared paperbacks until the spines gave out. I never planned to write one myself. Then a stubborn small-town heroine named Katie refused to leave my imagination, and However Much or Little became the beginning of something much larger.
Today, I publish through Ashby Lake Publishing House and keep returning to the fictional Ontario town where neighbours remember everything, love rarely arrives neatly, and happily-ever-afters are earned. The stories have grown from contemporary romance into Ashby Lake After Dark, where vampires, witches, ghosts, and the occasional badly behaved goat share the same familiar streets.
If youโre new here, meet the people and places on the Ashby Lake Residents page, or join my newsletter for book news, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and reader extras.
